A local retailer, Baker’s Boots & Clothing, was in need of a new website that better represented their brand while offering an increasingly user-friendly experience for customers. The antiquated architecture of the existing website made it subject to higher-than-average downtime, while including many redundancies in the processing and fulfillment processes. It was also expensive to maintain and did not include sufficiently reliable analytics. Customers were faced with a difficult-to-navigate website that was not mobile optimized and offered only limited payment and custom boot options.

Web Design
Our digital specialists developed a fresh, user-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing design consistent with the client’s brand identity. We also set up an integrated e-commerce platform with additional payment, express checkout, and customization options as well as a streamlined back-end process for Baker’s employees.
Art Direction & Asset Generation
FPW creatives provided overall art direction for the new web layout, designed a brand-new, modern logo true to the Baker’s brand and values, and implemented this logo and new aesthetic standard throughout the website. Our team provided copy for each of the web pages, including Home, About Us, Custom Boots, Activity categories, Occupation categories, and Brand collections. Our Films team captured brand lifestyle photography assets, and our digital team integrated them throughout the website.
Website Promotion
Our team created and deployed email and social media campaigns announcing the launch of the new website.
The Challenge
The Results
The FPW team designed and launched a high-functioning and intentionally designed website which received a highly favorable response from customers. Within 10 minutes of the launch of the new Baker’s website, the client received their first online order through the updated platform. Compared with the former website, the new website experienced a 13% decrease in bounce rate, a 60% increase in e-commerce conversion rate, a 266% increase in transactions, and an increase in revenue of 290% compared with the same week during the previous year.
