Virtual Reality: Looking to the Future
As brand builders, we are constantly experimenting with creative innovation on behalf of our clients. To remain successful in content creation, we must continue to artfully fuse technology, brand and experience. With every project, we strive to speak directly to the audience—because whatever the medium, establishing a strong, emotional connection is the backbone to any great creative pursuit.
What better way to achieve this than virtual reality?
Since October, FPW Media has taken a deep dive into virtual reality efforts, crafting end-to-end, immersive experiences for several clients. The more we use VR, the more we come to understand the incredible potential of the technology. VR is much more than just a passing fad. Rather, we see it as the beginning of a revolutionary platform with the power to change how we communicate, interact and share the stories of our lives.
We aren’t the only ones who think this; Goldman Sachs has predicted that the AR/VR industry’s revenue will eclipse TV’s by 2025. And Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg is optimistic that VR will be the primary form of communication technology in the near future.
Revenues from VR software and hardware industries are projected to increase from around $1.8 billion in 2016 to over $37 billion in 2020. Now, more than ever, virtual reality and marketing go hand in hand. What was once out of reach or unimaginable in traditional media is now achievable with VR. From storytelling, product testing, consultation, traveling, training, shopping, therapy and entertainment—the possibilities are endless.
As this medium continues to march ahead, we are purposeful in our efforts to be bold and lead the way.
As one of the first production companies in the Northwest to make this investment, we live, breath and think VR. We have the knowledge and technology to craft unforgettable VR experiences for our clients. To produce successful VR content that gets to the root of what the brand really needs, we know how to ask the smart questions. Always aiming for purpose-driven and user-centric experiences, we’ve crafted VR content for marketing efforts in a variety of unique industries.
These experiences have placed viewers on the floor of a working sawmill, walking alongside a moving barge, or flying above the heavy machines of a logging operation. See for yourself:
Unlike any other medium, VR can immerse participants in a brand story that shifts their perception and establishes a long-lasting connection. With each video, we focus on providing a real, relatable experience. Authenticity is a powerful tool in achieving a meaningful response. It is through deeper and more emotional experiences that brands can create memorable connections that drive action.
VR adds tools to our arsenal of storytelling, offering unlimited opportunities to interact with audience and generate strategic engagement—not to mention, it’s a ton of fun! Are you interested in using VR within your marketing efforts?
Whether you already have a project in mind or are just starting to consider the journey, let’s talk.
