To the layperson, his work may appear to consist of arbitrary and repetitive entry of letters and numbers—but web designer Camaron Ornelas is truly a creative in every sense of the word. He thrives off of the conceptual aspect of web programming—receiving requests from clients, researching methods, and composing a script solution to actualize their vision on screen. Camaron enjoys the flexibility, innovation, and ownership involved in custom script-writing. While he regularly works within the basic structure of WordPress, writing various scripts (such as PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS) is occasionally required to expand beyond the elemental features offered by the open-source content management system.
Camaron experiences a sense of nostalgia in old-fashioned coding, bringing him back to his childhood when he would log on to a Telnet at the library, search MetaCrawler, and enter an IP address to join an online community of kindred spirits each pursuing the art of script-writing. Building his first Angelfire website at age 12, Camaron continued to explore and grow in his passion for code-writing throughout the next couple of decades. His intuitive understanding of these foundations of web development serves him well as he daily employs strategies to accomplish the website goals of clients.
